Wedding Bells and Roses

The blog has been very quiet this week and the plot is fending for itself as we are busy preparing for a wedding! Michelle is getting married to Stephen on Saturday so gardening is taking a back seat until early next week at least.Photo is her nearest the camera marching in a St Patrick's Day parade some years ago.
Michelle with her Irish dancing medals even longer ago!Everything is ready, my hat finally got sorted today so next photos will be of the wedding.
I have not had much time to visit other blogs but I will get back on track next week.
Rose of TraleeThe famous Rose of Tralee contest is celebrating 50 years this year. Girls come from all over the world who have Irish ancestry and this year's rose is The London Rose, Charmaine

Congratulations to Michelle and have a wonderful day tomorrow - hope the weather holds up for you all. The plant's look after themselves, goodness knows they won't dry out anyway! Where's the reception? I was in Garryvoe at a lovely wedding earlier this month. Beautiful place.
I watched the Rose of Tralee in spots, I always think of the Lovely Girls in Father Ted! Was rooting for the Waterford rose, first one on night 1. Great attraction for the TV audience. I went for years as a kid as I have cousins there and we had a ball, doing all the forbidden stuff like late nights, teen boyfriends, disco dancing under age ( I boogied to a then-unknown Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy at age 14!)
So lots of happy memories of Tralee and the roses!
